Yes, I’ve been away from my space for the past two weeks because I’ve been following the South Beach Diet. I read a lot about this diet and wasn’t sure I could follow it through at first. Cheers! I completed phase 1 successfully, but I plan to continue in the same phase for a little while longer. I can’t wait to tell you all about my experiences, especially those of you who are having trouble losing weight. I’ll also share the recipes I came up with after reading the book.
I tried the SOUTH BEACH diet in late 2009 after getting married, but I didn’t adhere to the guidelines properly. Since I had just been married, my husband Dearie was really keen to show me the United States, so I took advantage of every business trip he could to follow along and see new places. I spent the first year of my marriage eating, eating, and eating. Then, in early 2010, I became pregnant with my son. Now that he is six months old, I am returning to the South Beach Diet, and this time, I have made the decision to stick to the plan since I have a lot of weight to lose.
Since high school, I have been following a diet. Since the food wouldn’t be appetizing and I would grow bored with the same kind of food, I couldn’t follow those diets for too long. I never dreamed of being a size zero or having a slender body like ramp models; all I wanted was a shape that would make me appear young and healthy, and most importantly, I wanted to look fantastic in Indian attire. I’ve worked hard at the gym to lose weight all over my body, just like any other soon-to-be bride. I was successful at the time and did a good job wearing the bridal gowns.
